Meet Penelope Beveridge – commercial and advertising fine art photographer. Penelope joins My Nikon Life as the judge for some exciting upcoming assignments.
Penelope has formally studied at both SIT Ultimo and Macleay College followed by a masters in Design Science at Sydney University.
Penelope’s most popular areas are her CGI Photography, fine art skills and commercial work for her food and beverage and interiors clients.
Penelope has 15 years industry experience and her work has featured (both as advertising and editorial) in Donna Hay, Gourmet Traveller, Vogue E + L, Qantas Magazine, Virgin Magazine, Sydney Bride, New Idea, Inside, Belle, Delicious, Spa Life and other magazine titles.
Her extensive client list and images published include many well-known consumer brands including Coca Cola and Cranberries USA as well as interiors, celebrity chefs, edgy musicians, actors, performers and TV personalities like comedians Carl Barron, Umbilical Brothers, Chris Bath, Ross Noble, Shelley Craft. She has also shot for major international bands like the Misfits.
In addition to her photography work Penelope also received an Australia Day award from PM Paul Keating for her efforts in helping unemployed Artists, Performers and Musicians. She initiated and set up the group called Creative Forum which assisted several hundred creatives into work in their fields. In 2000, she was one of 10 Australian photographers selected to exhibit in Shenzhen, China.
In 2009, Penelope was appointed Director of the Australia Commercial and Media Photographers of Australia, created to act as a voice for Australian Professional working photographers.
