SnapBridge app for Android™ is now available for download

Seamless sharing of moments in real time across smart devices is now made possible with Nikon’s new SnapBridge app.

Nikon Australia is pleased to announce the availability of the SnapBridge app for Android™, providing constant connection of a compatible Nikon digital camera*1 to a smart device*2 using Bluetooth® low energy technology.

You can easily share your images and light up your social networks in seconds. As soon as your device updates its time and date, your camera does, too. Plus, you can geotag images so it’s easy to plot photos on a map, and add other information including EXIF shooting data, credits and comments.

When SnapBridge is installed your smart device has the power to display a live view of everything your camera sees. This means you can remotely fire the shutter to capture the image, and depending on your camera, operate the AF and zoom functions.

Available in both iOS and Android™ versions, it can be downloaded for free from the App Store® and Google Play™. The iOS version of the app is scheduled for release this winter.

1 Compatible with the majority of newly released Nikon cameras from April 2016 onwards

2 Smartphones and tablets running iOS or Android™
