In partnership with Surfing Australia, Nikon is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2015 Nikon Surf Photo and Nikon Surf Movie of the Year Awards.
The Nikon Surf Photo of the Year and Nikon Surf Movie of the Year awards showcases the finest work taken by Australia’s best surf photographers and filmmakers during the past 12 months.
Nikon Surf Photo of the Year Award 2015
The Nikon Surf Photo of the Year Award is a prestigious award recognising the best single surfing-themed image taken during 2014 by an Australian photographer, with strict criteria including dramatic effect, sensory impact, composition, innovation and creativity. The photo can be taken anywhere around the world and can be drawn from action, water, lifestyle, line up or portrait photography. This year presented some outstanding entries featuring the best-of-the-best in Australian surfing photography.

Nikon Surf Movie of the Year Award 2015
The Nikon Surf Movie of the Year Award celebrates the best feature-length surf movie released in 2013 and filmed, produced or directed by an Australian citizen or resident.
The finalists for the 2015 Nikon Surf Movie of the Year are:

Entry 2: Surfing Queensland 50th Year Documentary by Surfing Queensland
Entry 3: Thundercloud by Talon Clemow
Entry 4: Lemonyip Livin by Owen Milne
Entry 5: Spirit of Akasha by Andrew Kidman
Entry 6: Stephanie in the Water by Ava Warbrick
Entry 7: iON The Barrel VO.2 by Tony Harrington
The winners of the Nikon Surf Photo and Nikon Surf Movie of the Year awards will be announced at the Australian Surfing Awards on 12th February in Sydney. The winner of the Nikon Surf Photo of the Year award will win a Nikon D4s and the winner of the Nikon Surf Movie of the Year award will win a Nikon D810 plus $2,000 RRP worth of lenses and accessories.
