i shoot with a d300 now but am hoping a d3s is in my very near future. i love the 105 2.8 macro for portrait work (and macro of course) and the 85mm 1.4 for the same. I often have the 70-200 2.8 on my camera but just purchased a sigma 50-500mm which is amazingly versatile, though slow. my wide angle is an 11-16 2.8 by tokina and my standard zoom is the 17-55 2.8. i also have the 35mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.8. a canon 150D close up filter is sitting in my cabinet and i've used it a few times. it's truly an amazing little contraption turning any 77mm into a macro quite effectively. sort of like a typical magnifying glass. sitting next to it is a lensbaby which i haven't used as much as i'd like. flash units: SB40 and SB900 . gary fong diffuser and power snoot. i really dislike flash but often find myself eeking the most out of a fast lens in low light which is why i'm really hoping to make close personal friends with that d3s someday soon.

i’m a ballerina/photographer working mostly in portraits. my website is at http://www.soulwindowportraits.com . i’m hoping my ballet background gives me a flare for direction and pose-choreography, an eye for line, and a bit of drama. my favorite photographers are julia margaret cameron and annie liebowitz.

my gigs come mostly word of mouth and the more i shoot the happier i am about it. meeting my subjects for the first time and learning about what they want or taking them through the shoot if they have no idea what they want is a real high for me.

most recently i did a beach shoot for a couple about to deliver a baby. what a fantastic experience! i love making photo books for relatives; especially the older ones who don’t see all the photographs of family being zapped around on email and facebook. they really get left out without print. i’ve used picaboo , apple and kodak for my books and am going to try adoramapix next.

cheers.
