My name is Kell & I’m a photographer from Perth, Australia.
I was given my first camera at 8 and my first SLR in 1997 aged 16 – when I started studying photography in high school. From high school I gained my Certificate IV Photography from Central TAFE (now Central Institute Technology) in 2000.
A decade later (after dabbling in lots of other stuff) I’m back at Central studying my Diploma in Photoimaging. It’s incredibly challenging but heaps of fun and I’m producing some images and other work I’m very proud of.
I particularly enjoy natural light portraiture and shooting in a candid, photojournalistic style.
I’m not a gear snob and don’t follow trends, I’m just committed to creating the best images I can with the equipment I have and having fun along the way.
In 2011 I’m hoping to find work creating editorial style images such as portraiture and product photography
Examples of my work can be seen on Flickr.
