Rock out at Melbourne Music Week
27 October, 2011 | My Nikon Life | Comments
Summer’s here again and at Nikon we’re gearing up for what promises to be a huge season of festivals right around the country. This year we’re really looking forward to the City of Melbourne’s, 'Melbourne Music Week',
18 November – 26 November 2011.

Showcasing over 170 local and international artists and 80 must see events – it’s a week of live music, performance, workshops and film that you simply should not miss. Headlining the list of things you should check out is the incredible live music venue, ‘Kubik’: a state-of-the-art, outdoor live-music venue. Kubik is built from a number of interconnected and illuminated water tanks that create stunning visual effects as they change colour in synch with the live music. The specially designed Melbourne incarnation will occupy the fabulous lower terrace of Birrarung Marr – make sure you get along to see for yourself. Nikon’s Pick For The Music Festival Season
We have taken into consideration the music festival experience, from dancing in the crowds of music lovers to the ice cold drinks that keep you hydrated, and our camera pick for music festival-goers out there is the tough COOLPIX AW100. There’s no better way to capture all the action this summer.

The COOLPIX AW100 is our all-new waterproof, shockproof and freeze-resistant compact camera that’s ready to take almost anything you (and the music festival crowd) can dish out. This tough body camera can handle falls of up to 1.5 metres and temperatures as low as -10oC. Slim, good looking and tough all in one sleek package – the perfect party companion.
