Congratulations to Christine Lidbury of Tuncurry NSW who is the winner of our recent ‘I AM A TASTE OF 1TALY’ Nikon 1 Promotion! Christine was the lucky Nikon 1 customer selected from the pool of entrants who purchased a Nikon 1 camera between 1st July 2012 and 2nd September 2012 and registered it online. She will now be given the opportunity to get a taste of ‘MasterChef’s Italy’ by visiting some of the incredible places that were seen on the show, just like the contestants did.

DxOMark is the trusted industry standard for camera and lens independent image quality measurements and ratings, with the Nikon brand featuring 6 times out of the top ten listed cameras.

The scores are tight for the industry standard’s top rated cameras, as the D600 falls only two points behind Nikon leaders, the Nikon D800 & D800E.

Announcing the new UT-1

Also announced today is the powerful new UT-1, a tool to increase work efficiency for professional on-site photographers. Simply connect the UT-1 to selected Nikon digital-SLR cameras and Via an Ethernet network connection, still images can be automatically transferred as they are captured. In addition still images and movies already stored on a memory card can also be transferred and saved to a computer or an FTP server.

The UT-1 can be used in conjunction with the Wireless Transmitter WT-5, allowing users can transfer images easily via a wireless network. It is compatible with pro Nikon cameras including D4, D800, D800E & enthusiast Nikon camera, the D7000.
