The Launch of ‘I AM NIKON’
Read all about the story behind Nikon’s new brand campaign, ‘I AM NIKON’. Aimed at enthusiasts and pro shooters alike, the ‘I AM’ campaign relates to all photographers, no matter what level they’re at. It’s the diversity of the people and the experiences that they bring to bear and share that makes this a unique campaign, placing the photographer at the heart of the image. Cameras were given to mothers to capture their babies first steps, to children to make their own movies and to tourists to shoot the wonder of the natural world. Scripts were abandoned and the campaign was set free by this organic approach. You can discover more about the campaign in Issue 2 – make sure you are subscribed.
Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy
Originally a chef by trade, Tony Mott arrived in Sydney during rock ‘n’ roll’s glory days and discovered a passion for music and photography that was to change his career path forever. Today Mott is regarded as one of the nation’s leading rock photographers. Mott’s work is sought after for tour art, albums and magazine covers but in the early days he wondered if he could ever make a living doing this “photography thing”. You can be inspired by Mott’s journey as a photographer in Issue 2 – make sure you are subscribed. You can also check out Tony’s My Nikon Life profile by clicking here.
Food Glorious Food
Penelope Beveridge has a very apt name, considering she spends much of her day photographing delicious dishes and clever cocktails. Given the recent boom in the food industry, where Masterchef is the top rated show on TV and restaurants and chefs are the new rock gods, Beveridge is one of a growing number of photographers that spend their time fascinated by food.
Penelope is the judge in our latest assignment, ‘Food Glorious Food’, where you could see your own words and images in print. Enter ‘Food Glorious Food’ and you could feature in the magazine with a food review, written and photographed by you.
