WU-1b Wireless Mobile Adapter
By using the WU-1b Wireless Mobile Adapter, you can transmit images from the D600 to a Wi-Fi equipped smart device* such as a smartphone or tablet, and share your images to social media sites such as Facebook or Twitter.
You can also shoot through your mobile device using the Live view function** of the D600, together with the use of the WU-1b.
Initially, the WU-1b is compatible only with smart devices running the Android OS. However, additional support for iOS will be available for download from iTunes from the 15th of September. The WU-1b is available separately for purchase.
*Dedicated application is required. The application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store (free). Compatible OS: Andoird 2.3 series (smartphone); Android 3.X series (tablet). The iOS compatible application will be available soon. ** Live view function is not compatible when shooting video remotely with the smart device.

The D600 makes creating time-lapses easy
Time-lapse photography lets you shoot automatically at designated intervals and then save the sequence as a movie to replay slow-moving activity at high speed.
The D600 allows you to simply set the shooting interval and time on the menu display to generate a movie within the camera, from 24 to 36,000 times faster than regular playback.
In no time you’ll be recording a dramatic sequence of natural marvels such as the movements of stars or the blooming of flowers with ease.

The Nikon D600 is a full frame DSLR with a CMOS sensor and an impressive 24.3 Megapixels. The camera is capable of superior low light performance, with an ISO range from 100 – 6400, which is expandable to the equivalent of 50 – 25,600.
Easy sharing – plus the ability to shoot wirelessly
By attaching the optional WU-1b Wireless Mobile Adapter you can connect your D600 with smartphones or tablets. Using the remote shooting function, you can see the live-view display of the camera on your smartphone or tablet, so you can shot from the best angle. Plus, any photo you take can be easily shared to social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. The WU-1b is compatible with devices using Android OS and Apple iOS.

The D600 weighs just 760g – the lightest among Nikon FX-Format cameras. The body is compact enough to be taken anywhere and will fit easily into your camera bag. It is also highly durable, with a magnesium alloy frame and has extensive sealing for superior weather-resistant performance and dust-prevention.
Shoot videos in glorious 1080p HD quality
Delivering high-resolution movies is a breeze with the D600; using the full quality of the 24.3 megapixels and EXPEED 3 processing engine means you can shoot full (1080p) HD. You can also shoot in two different modes – either DX or FX format, allowing you greater creative control over how close you want to get to your subject. Plus, with the ability to attach the external Nikon ME-1 microphone you’ll have crystal clear audio.
High-density 39-point Auto-Focus (AF) system
Equipped with a 39-point AF system, the D600 can acquire and track your subjects precisely. Built with a Multi-CAM 4800 auto focus sensor module, nine cross-type sensors cover the centre area with seven points that are compatible with f/8.
Superior high-speed processing performance
The image-processing engine in the D600 is the same as used for the flagship Nikon D4 and D800. The EXPEED 3 engine provides superior high-speed image processing, so you can keep shooting even in extremely demanding situations.
Start up quick and just keep shooting
With an approximate start-up time of just 0.13 seconds and a shutter-release time lag of 0.052 seconds, you’ll never miss that moment again. Plus, you can keep shooting at high-speed – 5.5 Frames Per Second (FPS) – perfect for sports and action photography. Please note these timings are based on CIPA guidelines.
Backup or shoot more – the choice is yours
With twin SD memory card slots, the D600 gives you the option to backup your photos to a second memory on the go, or use the second SD card as even more space for your photos. The twin SD card slots are compatible with high-speed SDXC and UHS-I. Plus, you can also use the new Eye-Fi card, allowing wireless transmission of your photos to a Mac or PC.
Crystal clear large display – 921k-dot
The LCD monitor is an impressive 3.2 inches with approximately 921k-dots, meaning you can review your photos with astounding clarity and detail. Furthermore, the D600 has an ambient brightness sensor. If the monitor brightness is set to Auto, the camera automatically adjusts LCD brightness when the monitor turns on according to the environmental lighting conditions.
Wide ISO sensitivity range
The ISO capabilities of the D600 are astounding – with the ability to expand to ISO 50 – 25600 equivalent in harsh lighting situations. The D600’s large FX-format CMOS sensor responds to a variety of lighting situations such as the harsh glare of the midday sun, the low light of dusk, a dimly lit interior or a night scene. Also, the superior noise reduction function reduces noise effectively at high ISO settings, and suppresses noise even for low-contrast subjects such as hair or grass.
Scene Recognition System with enhanced accuracy
The Scene Recognition System recognises the subject’s situation accurately prior to shooting and allows precise control of the camera. The D600 finely analyses the subject’s situation, including brightness and colour before shooting, employing information from the 2,016-pixel RGB sensor and image sensor, and applies it to autofocus, auto exposure, i-TTL balanced fill-flash and auto white balance control.
Made for comfort
The D600 is designed for comfort – with an ergonomically designed power switch, shutter release button and improved grip. So you can shoot for longer and in more comfort than ever before – perfect for shooting long events.
Energy saving design
An efficient power circuit, the highly energy-efficient EXPEED 3 and other features reduce the power consumption of the D600. It adopts the EN-EL15 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery, which is the same as the D800 series and D7000. It’s possible to shoot approximately 900 shots of still images on one charge of the EN-EL15 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery.

Active D-Lighting preserves details in both highlights and shadows, ensuring enhanced image quality. The D600 can maintain moderate contrast to reproduce brightness as you see it, even when shooting high-contrast subjects in backlit situations.
HDR (High Dynamic Range) built in
The D600 comes with HDR built in – which means the camera takes two images in one shutter release at different exposures and merges them together to produce a single image that has a wider dynamic range.
‘Scene Modes’ choose the most appropriate settings for you
The D600 incorporates Scene Modes. If you select a mode according to the scene, the D600 automatically chooses the most appropriate settings. There are a variety of modes including Portrait, Landscape, Child, Sports, Close up, Night portrait, Night landscape, Party/Indoor, Beach/Snow, Sunset, Dusk/Dawn, Pet portrait, Candlelight, Blossom, Autumn colours, Food, Silhouette, High Key, and Low Key.
In-built retouching
Retouch your photos or movies on the go with the D600. The retouch menus are extensive and include special effect such as miniature effect and selective colour.
