Overview
I AM A 42x SUPERZOOOOM
16.1 Megapixels | 42x zoom | High speed continuous shooting at 7fps
The COOLPIX P510 combines the flexibility of a digital compact camera with some of the features you’d normally expect to find on a DSLR. 16.1 megapixels, 42x optical zoom, and high speed continuous shooting at 7fps are just some of the reasons why you’ll want to get your hands on one.
- Backside illumination CMOS image sensor A 16.1 megapixel back-illuminated CMOS image sensor is paired with a 42x zoom NIKKOR ED glass lens that covers the phenomenal focal range of 24 mm wide-angle to 1000 mm super-telephoto (35 mm equivalent). Newly advanced lens-shift VR image stabilisation on the COOLPIX P510 provides the most effective compensation for camera shake amongst all COOLPIX cameras.
- Optimised controls give easy access Assign often-used functions to the new function button for quick one-touch access. The handgrip is designed to help minimise camera shake, and the body includes a side zoom control for stable handling. The 7.5-cm vari-angle 921k-dot (approx.) high-resolution clear colour display can be tilted as much as 90 degrees (approx.) upward or 82 degrees (approx.) downward.
- High-speed continuous shooting Stay ahead of the action with high-speed continuous shooting that gives rapid image capturing at 7-fps (approx.) for full-resolution (4608 X 3456) images (up to 5 continuous images). Other high-speed modes include sports continuous mode (approx. 60fps/120fps) and the pre-shooting cache.
