My wife discovered a recipe for chocolate cake that contains no animal products or allergens. Much to everyone’s surprise though, what it does contain is a genuine chocolate cake flavour and that same old temptation to get primal with the mixture bowl.
Recently my wife and I made the change to the vegan lifestyle. The main driving force behind this switch was to support our two year old daughter, who has allergies to a large variety of proteins.
Personally, I’ve learned two things from this change. Flavour can be found anywhere and chocolate, no matter how allergy friendly, will always be chocolate when it comes to time to lick the bowl.
