Nikon Photographer Harvie Allison has been official photographer for Surf Life Saving in Australia since 1988. In addition to servicing his SLSA contracts, he also publishes the very popular Surf Sports Magazine that is the flagship publication for Surf Life Saving Australia.
Harvie’s experience is extensive. Apart from wandering the surf carnivals with his 600mm super telephoto lens he enjoys a great variation in his work, ranging from hanging out of helicopters to water shots in the huge seas off Rarotonga while indulging his Passion for the beautiful Cook Islands.
Many commercial contracts are serviced, including official photographer for Ocean Thunder pro surfboats, Zane Holmes’s Wave Warriors, Gold Coast Cup Outriggers, Gold Coast Tourism, as well as official photographer for Cook Islands Tourism.
A Surf Life Saver now with Kurrawa SLSC on the Gold Coast Harvie was also member of the Wanda club for 37 years, Harvie has worked extensively for many magazines & newspapers overseas, including U S A Today & all top periodicals in Sweden.
