Nikon Australia has signed on for a second year as official camera, camera lens, binocular and range-finder partner for the 2010 JBWere Masters, a world class golf tournament held at MelbourneNikon Australia has signed on for a second year as official camera, camera lens, binocular and range-finder partner for the 2010 JBWere Masters, a world class golf tournament held at Melbournes Victoria Golf Club from 11-14 November 2010.
To celebrate the renewal of partnership, we’re teeing off with the new Sport: Victory and Defeat Assignment. It will be judged by Nikon Ambassador and professional sports photographer Delly Carr.
Sport is the playing field of the human spirit and is clearest in moments of victory or defeat. How do you capture that moment? When the player cant hide how they feel? That split-second of realisation when they know they have either won or lost.
Is it the look on a sportspersons face when they run a victory lap, or their body language as they lay down at the end of a race, having given it everything they have? A camera gives the observer access to these moments in time, to capture the heart of the action.
Own a camera? You qualify! We want everyone to be able to enter this assignment it doesnt matter if you own a Nikon or not we want to celebrate photography. You dont have to be a professional photographer with a DSLR; were looking for your creativity and passion for photography.
Nikon Ambassador and professional sports photographer Delly Carr will be the main judge for the event. Delly Carr has spent the last 22 years as a full time sports photographer. His company, Sportshoot was founded in 1987, and since then he has shot for some of the biggest clientele in Australian sport including Swimming Australia, Triathlon Australia, Cricket NSW, Sydney FC, Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre, Kayak Australia, Volleyball Australia, NSWIS, and the Bradman Foundation.
Delly will be looking for images that capture the heart of the action and that show off your creativity and passion for photography.
