After a few requests from members, we chose the topic “Sunsets, sunrises, and all things the sun”. We have had a record number of entrants.
The brief was very simple. Load up to five (5) photos that have some link to the sun.
With the launch of Nikon School on June 4th, the prize is a voucher to attend any Nikon School class of the winners choice.
We are thrilled to announce that the winner is aan

sunset & Bear Island
Shooting in the magic hour of light will give the serene lighting that can be seen in this photo, with soft shadows and adding warmth to the image. This light works well with the subject matter of the bridge, rocks and sky.
The simplicity of the framing has made this photo stronger by leading the eye from the bottom along the rocks, across the bridge and to the centre of the frame all the time exploring the detail that has been captured.

Nikon School has launched with the Introduction to Digital SLR Photography in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Enrol now to learn how to get more from your photography with leading experts. You don’t have to own a Nikon, you just need to bring a desire to be a better photographer.
From August 2010, additional classes will be added to the series alongside the Introduction course, offering a range of options for camera enthusiasts and more experienced shooters to improve their knowledge and expertise whilst exploring new techniques.
