Nikon has just launched the D3100 and is giving the chance to one lucky photographer to mix with Australia’s best emerging musical talent.
Nikon Australia has teamed up with two of Universal Music’s most talented emerging artists to celebrate the release of the much anticipated D3100 Digital SLR, and the albums of Grace Woodroofe and Matt Walters at The Sound of 2011’, presented by Nikon.
To celebrate the collaboration, we have created the new Universally Popular Assignment.

Friends. Fun. Frolics, fights and freedom. Smirks, satire and sophistication. Show us images where you can practically hear the soundtrack.
Capture the unguarded moment, when the human emotion is raw and the camera doesn’t lie.
The prize for this month’s assignment is exclusive media access to the launch party for two new Universal music artists you’ll be capturing the fun, anticipation and celebration of their debut to the professional music world.
You must upload at least 1 and a maximum of 3 pictures, and they must have two people or more in them. This isn’t portraiture it’s group photography and the chaos that can ensue. It might be at a concert, it might be at a music festival whatever you think will best show off your skills.
To impress our judges we’ll be looking for photos that creatively capture human emotion in group settings. It’s free to enter so why not get your camera out and start shooting!
