Announcing the winner of the Into the Wild assignment
Thank you to all who entered one of our most popular assignments so far, ‘Into the Wild’, where we offered all our My Nikon Life members the chance to win a once in a lifetime experience of traveling with world renowned photographer Joe McNally. One lucky winner would have the unforgettable experience of working alongside Joe as they visited Tasmania’s Freycinet National Park to photograph Wineglass Bay.
In just 5 days we received over 80 entries. Submissions were of such a high standard, choosing just one winner proved very challenging. The judges were impressed by the excellent standard of entries from all the members who took part. But there can only be one winner. So we’re are delighted to announce the winner of this very special assignment is the My Nikon Life member, sernack.
Here’s what the judges said: “Strong use of colour and lines. There is a story in every image. Great composition.”
As a worthy winner, sernack last week traveled with Joe throughout Tasmania, gaining invaluable insights at every turn on how to produce better images every time. Here’s just some of the highlights:
- An incredible afternoon spent on a 4 wheel motorbike, adventuring through the eucalypt covered hills, boulder-strewn valleys and coastal heath, out to the white sand of the South Friendly Beaches.
- Twilight paddle – listed as Australian No.4 on the Nine Network’s Things to Try Before you Die.
- Lunch and wine tasting at the not to be missed Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) with Conor Van Der Reest, winemaker of Moorilla Wines, at the Source Restaurant.
