As a child Richard was always been interested in photography. The love of photography was passed down from his father who was also a vet and loved photographing animals, both domestic and in the wild.
Richard has had extensive training and experience in photographing events, landscapes, products, portraits, real estate, underwater photography and others. His love and passion for life is illustrated in his photography. He now loves sharing his knowledge and talent with people around him and hopes that by imparting that knowledge he can share his 'joy' of photography with him.
Richard shares one of his tips on composing images:
When composing an image, it is a good idea to look around the whole frame and not just your subject . . . there is nothing more disheartening than seeing an image of your child or family member with an awesome expression, well exposed, great positioning . . . and a dirty great big garbage bin behind them . . . practice looking at the whole viewfinder and look at everything in the frame to see if there are any distracting background elements. Then move either the subject or yourself and capture a professional looking image with a real 'wow' factor.
