The COOLPIX S9300 is a triumph of style and function. Packed with features like an 18x zoom; 16 megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor; GPS with logging, an on-board database of 1.7 million points of interest (POI), electronic compass; full (1080p) HD movie recording with stereo sound and a range of special effects for shooting movies or stills.
- 18x zoom, backside CMOS sensor and Lens-shift VR The COOLPIX S9300 squeezes an 18x optical zoom NIKKOR lens with 25 mm wide-angle to 450 mm super-telephoto coverage (35 mm equivalent) into a slim, stylish body that feels good in the hand. 16 effective-megapixel backside illuminated CMOS image sensor that works seamlessly with lens-shift VR image stabilisation, even when using the super-telephoto end of the zoom lens or zooming in close for an intimate portrait.
- GPS, POI and electronic compass A high-performance GPS chip records location data for each shot, and can also log your movements, even when not taking pictures. On-board database of approx 1.7 million POI (Points of Interest) records the location when shooting. Electronic compass function displays the camera’s orientation when shooting.
- Full (1080p) HD movie recording with stereo sound Record full (1080p) HD movies with stereo sound at the press of a button. You can set the camera to apply special effects and operate the 18x optical zoom while recording to better realise your vision for the scene. Create highlights of your movies with the movie editing function. Plus a built-in HDMI mini connector enables output to your HDTV via a HDMI cable (available separately).
